PROJECT UNKNOWN
Master's Thesis Project Work in Progress

Over the past two years I have been pursing a master’s degree in Human Experience and Design Interactions. During my time in school I explored how physical objects spaces can work harmoniously with digital interfaces and emerging technologies. My thesis project, Project Unknown, is an exploration of the human relationship between physical and digital space through the lens of virtual reality.
With this project I wanted to explore the use and implementation of virtual reality as a medium. At this time I started this project there are significant strides made within this industry and many companies are investing heavily in its future. As someone who is inherently more passionate about physical space, I was initially hesitant towards using mixed reality based technologies. I do, however, recognize its potential.
On top of my exploration with virtual reality, I wanted to incorporate my skills from my industrial design background to build out a set for guests to explore. Accompany the virtual reality environments is a 10x12 foot scale box, reupholstered furniture, and modified a table to demonstrate my concept.
