SIMPLEHUMAN IMPRESSION MIRROR
Impression is a wide-angle sensor mirror with storage designed for SimpleHuman. For this project I was tasked with designing a sensor mirror that conceals cosmetic products, incorporates innovative technology, and looks like it would fit in with SimpleHuman's current mirror line.
The project began by researching the SimpleHuman brand and looking into the current vanity mirror market. The mirror went through various stages of drawing ideation, which was then cross-referenced with the brand's design language to determine if it would fit in to the product line. The mirror is CAD modeled in Solidworks and rendered in Keyshot.
The Impression mirror pulls inspiration from their current wide-angle mirror. The frame is large enough that extruding space behind the panels will not disrupt the original design. To compensate for the added weight of the consumer's products, a counterweight is added into the base, making this mirror a more permanent addition to their vanity. The top right hand corner of the mirror features a sensor with a small screen that flashes information with the time, weather, and daily high/lows to streamline the process of getting ready.
